The Merrimon-Wynne house, built circa 1875, is currently located at 526 North Wilmington Street. Built for Senator August Merrimon, this handsome Victorian Italianate suburban villa is notable for its strongly molded ornament. The two-and-a-half-story frame structure, has two major porches, one supporting a cantilevered wing on the north elevation and another on the right side of the west elevation. This home will be moved to 500 N. Blount Street.

The Bailey-Gallant house was built circa 1898 for C.T. Bailey, Jr. This one-story frame, gable roof house was remodeled early 20th century in the Neo-Federal style.
The Jordan House
The Jordan house, circa 1898, is a handsome two-and-a-half-story, late Queen Anne style house with high, slate-shingled, hipped roof with cream brick corbelled chimneys. The house also has a veranda that sweeps around the two street elevations, pushing out into an octagonal bay on the corner. This home was moved from its original location at 532 N. Wilmington Street to 545 N. Blount Street.
The Lewis-Smith House
The Lewis-Smith house was built around 1855 for Dr. Augustus Smith. It was moved from its original location on Wilmington Street in 1974 to make room for construction of the State government complex. The house is a handsome, two-story frame Greek revival structure; one of only two major examples of this style remaining in Raleigh.
The Cowper House
